TP Human Capital Triathlon
When: The Events will be held on Sunday, 13 July 2014
Where: Strand Park, The Strand – Townsville
Time: From 6.45 a.m Wave starts for 1500m/40km/10km
From 9:30 am Wave starts for 400m/16km/4km
What: The TP Human Capital Teams Triathlons are team events that consists of 2-3 people (each person does one leg, or two if you’re in a two person team). The event is in its 12thyear and a favourite event on most sporting and corporate calendars! but most of all it’s a fun event, where you set the goal! The event consists of a 400m swim, 16km ride and 4km run OR 1500m swim, 40km bike, and 10km run – the distances are challenging but still achievable – so have a go!
Entry Fee: $195 per team that works out to be $65 each person and we each get a triathlon singlet included in the registration cost.
OR……… have a go at the brand NEW Olympic Distance Teams Challenge, with more bang-for-your-buck for the more serious team mates. 1500m SWIM/ 40km BIKE/ 10km RUN. Entry Fee: $245 per team.

I think the shorter one is the best option for all. This year there will be a 400 team cap, so get in quick to make sure you don’t miss out! As I can tell this is an adult event 18+.
If the kids are interested and you are interested in putting a kids team together here is some info:
1300SMILES Kids TRY Series
When: Saturday 12 July 2014
Where: Strand Park, The Strand – Townsville
Time: 3pm Start: Wave start times to be announced
What: The 1300SMILES Kids TRY Series is open to age 7-12 years to cater for the youth of the community.
Minimum age for this event is 7 years – Parental Consent will be required for all competitors in the Kids Try.
Entry Fees: TA Junior Members $20 Non TA Member $25
The Race Format is as follows:

These events are non-competitive and focus on having fun and participation therefore no times or placings are recorded.
These events will feature:
- Rockpool Swim Leg (100m)
- Ride around the NEW Jezzine Barracks (2km)
- Runs along the Strand’s paved foreshore footpath into the Strand Park (800m)
Wave starts based on age group to enable small group starts.
All participants will receive:
- A swim cap
- Event Singlet
- A finisher’s medallion
Entry into random prize draws to be conducted at the conclusion of the events.
